We’re pleased to welcome veterinary nurse and certified small animal massage therapist, Elizabeth Obermeier to Top of the Line Chiropractic! With over a decade of experience in the veterinary field, she brings skilled, hands-on care to our four-legged patients.
Elizabeth’s journey into the veterinary field began with her beloved dog, Goldie, whose health challenges inspired her to transition from a career in the Los Angeles film industry to animal rehabilitation. After witnessing the positive impact of rehabilitation therapy on Goldie’s recovery from back surgery, Elizabeth pursued multiple avenues of education and certifications combining her passion for animals with professional expertise.
Targeted Care for Your Pet
Elizabeth offers 45-minute sessions with various therapeutic techniques tailored to each animal’s needs. She offers services to:
- Support athletic and show dogs with sports massage to enhance performance and prevent injury
- Provide relief for seniors dealing with arthritis and age-related stiffness
- Help anxious pets become more comfortable with handling through gentle, patient techniques
- Manage pain and improve mobility for those recovering from surgery or injury
Providing Mental Stimulation
“I like to start and/or end my appointments by incorporating mental stimulation techniques for every patient. This could be a mind puzzle, digging in the towel for a treat, or a couple of very easy, active range of motion exercises. These techniques allow the patient to shift their weight and stretch out after their massage while mentally stimulating while providing a positive experience,” shares Elizabeth.
Your Pet’s Comfort Is Our Priority
Understanding that each animal has unique needs, Elizabeth adapts her techniques to ensure your pet feels safe and comfortable. For those who need time to adjust to new experiences, she creates a patient, supportive environment that builds trust naturally. She incorporates additional modalities like targeted pain management techniques and veterinary-approved essential oils when appropriate for your pet’s condition.
Offering Benefits Beyond the Table
Massage can help reduce anxiety, improve circulation, enhance flexibility, and support better sleep patterns. Regular sessions may help detect potential health issues early, supporting your pet’s overall wellness plan.
